It’s no question that the rise of digital technology has made it possible to make payments in a matter of minutes. There could be a radical shift in the way people view money as a result of digitalization, and it has already sparked ways for a cashless society. But does that rule out the use of cash altogether?

No it does not rule out the usage of cash. Still After demonetisation completed 6 years in India, cash is the major mode of payment. Yes the situation has changed when compared to pre demonetisation time. Digital Payments is increasing at a rapid phase. But we should remember one thing here. Digital payments increased a lot but their average ticket size is very less. We are using largely UPI payments for our day to day expenses at Groceries, travel etc., But we are not prefering to use digital payments for the large ticket payments. You can think if we gonna buy a second hand car what is the preferred mode of payment.

Thanks for sharing your view on this.
It’s true that despite the widespread adoption of digital payment methods, India is still predominantly a cash-driven economy.
